Ameren New Gas Control Facility

Ameren Illinois’ gas control center in Decatur isn’t just any office building. Rather, it’s an around-the-clock operation where highly skilled workers monitor gas transmission and distribution networks to all Ameren Illinois customers throughout Illinois and Missouri.

As the construction manager in charge of building this new gas control center, IMPACT Strategies was tasked with making sure its plans accommodated Ameren’s needs, and ensured the safety and reliability of its operations. Several mission critical areas of the building required steel and cast-in-place structural concrete walls that are FEMA rated to withstand 250 mph winds.
